Who We Are
Healing Hearts Vietnam is a US registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to make life-saving cardiac surgeries available for Vietnamese families in need.

Founded in 2015 by Drs. Chad Hoyt and Tom Forsberg, Healing Hearts Vietnam is built on a deep respect for life and a commitment to compassionate care. We provide access to cardiac surgery for individuals who meet our medical and need-based criteria, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or gender. In honoring the trust of our donor partners, we remain steadfast in our commitment to operational efficiency and financial transparency, ensuring that every dollar does the most good.​​
Our Co-Founders
Dr. Hoyt is a board certified cardiologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, and serves on the leadership team at the University of Virginia. He is passionate about medical missions and has spent the last fifteen years providing care and expertise in Vietnam. He co-founded Healing Hearts Vietnam, a nonprofit organization committed to financing open heart surgeries and catheter-based cardiovascular procedures for Vietnamese children and families.
Co-Founder of HHV
Dr. Forsberg is a board certified emergency medicine physician and Medical Director of Education at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is passionate about delivering evidence-based medicine while utilizing technological interfaces to achieve optimal patient care and has shared his expertise throughout Vietnam. He co-founded Healing Hearts Vietnam, a nonprofit organization committed to financing open heart surgeries and catheter-based cardiovascular procedures for Vietnamese children and families.
