HHV values our relationships with the Vietnamese government, our private and public hospital partnerships, and most importantly, the physicians with whom we work, side by side, caring for the patients we sponsor in need of life-saving care. One of the ways we add value is through providing international expertise in the field of cardiovascular medicine, both adult and pediatric. We have found that our annual lecture series is highly appreciated by our Vietnamese partners, and we learn so much from them in return.Â
Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi
On February 19, Healing Hearts Vietnam teamed up with the Vietnamese National Heart Institute at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi to provide advanced cardiovascular lectures. The lecture series covered advanced topics such as pediatric heart transplantation and heart failure, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiovascular risk assessment, pediatric cardiac catheterization lab interventions, and process improvement initiatives to improve quality and eliminate medical errors. The conference lasted an entire day and was broadcast across Vietnam.  There was excellent in-person attendance and participation from physicians across northern Vietnam, with nearly 200 seated in the lecture hall.  Following the conference, the executive leaders at Bach Mai Hospital sponsored a dinner with the HHV team.

SIS Hospital, Can Tho
On February 21, the HHV team repeated the scientific conference in conjunction with SIS Hospital (Stroke International Services) in Can Tho. This location is in the southern part of Vietnam, known as the Mekong Delta. The conference was provided as a celebration of SIS’ 5-year anniversary of serving the Mekong Delta community with high-quality medical care. This conference was also well attended by physicians across the south of Vietnam and was extremely successful. The night prior to the lecture series was filled with team-building time and a sponsored dinner with the executive team at SIS.Â
